Frequently Asked Questions:
Who can come to Godstock?
Any Catholic high school parish or school group along with the necessary adult sponsors.
Do we have to camp?
Your group can come just for the day and go home at the evening programming. You can even come back for Mass with the Bishop the next day!
Is there a difference in the price if we don’t stay overnight?
Since most of the cost of Godstock is related to amenities procured for the day programming, the cost is the same for those not staying overnight.
What time should our group plan on arriving?
Gates open at 10:00 a.m. for large groups that need long set up times. Just be sure to leave enough time to get set up before the opening session at 1:00 p.m. It takes longer to put up all those tents than you think!

Will we need spending money at Godstock 2008?
The only thing for sale at Godstock are CD’s from the musical groups that are performing. Their CD’s will be for sale after their performances.
What will we do?
Hear awesome bands such as
Righteous B, Soundwave, Mariachi Texas,
Before the Throne,
and Doug Weisbruch
and the Keysis Worship Team.
Participate in Catholic only
activities such as the Eucharist,
Rosaries, Adoration, Liturgy of the
Hours, Mass and more!
Have the opportunity to play
games like sand volleyball, flag
football and Frisbee.
Meet Catholics from all over the
Austin Diocese.
Go home at night or spend a night
under the stars. We will have a
bonfire Saturday night.
How Does it Work?
Participating parishes can choose from two options: day visit
only or overnight camping. The cost of $35 per participant is
the same, regardless of the option selected. Each parish choosing
to camp will be responsible for their own camping equipment
and meals. You will be provided with a designated camping site.
All sites are primitive and no water or electricity is available at
the site. Sanitation facilities will be provided, however, there
are no showers available.
Parishes choosing to come for the day only will be responsible
for providing their group’s evening meal. Day visitors will leave
the event following the evening programming (approx 10:00
p.m.).
Gates open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26. The opening
session of the event begins at 1:00 p.m. Please plan to have your
parish arrive and set up in time to attend the opening session.
The festival ends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.
Parishes should reserve a campsite by April 7th. Final
participant numbers are due April 14th. Upon registration, you
will receive further information, including instructions, maps
and a finalized schedule.
What can we expect when we arrive?
While one of the main attractions
at Godstock will be the bands,
numerous other activities will be
taking place simultaneously.
Bands will begin playing at 1:00
p.m. in the stage area. We have
six bands slated to perform
including Righteous B, Mariachi
Texas, Soundwave, Before the
Throne,
Doug Weisbruch and the Kysis Worship Band.
During the afternoon, Eagle’s
Wings will be leading periodic
guided hiking tours of Meditation
Mountain, Rosaries on the hour at
the Marian Grotto and Stations of
the Cross. Those wishing to
participate may also pray the
Liturgy of the Hours at designated
times. In addition, we will have
priests available to offer the
Sacrament of Reconciliation and
daily Mass to those wanting to take
advantage of them.
There will be opportunities for
service projects that will include
projects around Eagle’s Wings and
for local charities.
We also have sand volleyball, flag
football, Frisbee and other
organized recreational activities.
Our evening programming
includes an incredible guest
speaker and Adoration. We will
close the evening with a fantastic
bonfire.
Sunday morning brings a
celebration of the Eucharist
celebrated by Bishop Gregory
Aymond, followed by lunch.
What is Eagles Wings like?
As visitors to the retreat center, we
will be asked to abide by some basic rules which are
included on your consent forms. Further, there will be
some special Godstock-specific rules:
• Each parish will be allowed only one vehicle per campsite.
We recommend a truck to carry your heavy camping
gear. No RV’s please. (If your group is larger than
20, you may be allowed to bring extra vehicles.) All
other vehicles will be parked on the lower pasture. We
will provide shuttles up to the camping area.
• No open fires at parish campsites. All cooking must be
done on enclosed grills and/or propane stoves.
• No in and out travel. If you leave the site, you will not
be readmitted.
• One adult chaperone per 9 participants. Chaperones
must stay in parish campsite area once lights out is
called. Please be responsible for your own youth.
