About Godstock 2008: Austin Godstock was conceived as a low cost offering for the high school age youth of the Catholic Diocese of Austin. Organized by youth ministers in the Austin Diocese, the event focuses on providing a structured opportunity for fellowship, formation and worship. With the cooperation of the Diocesan Office of Youth Ministry and Eagle’s Wings Retreat Center, last year over 500 people participate in the 2nd annual Austin Godstock. Our 2007 event theme was “Here is Our King.” This year, our Godstock theme, "Set Free and Sent Forth" focuses on Christ’s love for us and our call to discipleship. Our programming last year included performances by Mariachi Tejas, Before the Throne, The Plow, Dave Regitz and Doug Weisbruch . Our keynote address was given by Deacon Ralph Poyo, Events Director for Faith Formation at St. Luke the Evangelist in Raleigh, NC. Austin Godstock 2008 promises to be even better than last year, and it will be if you are there! This year, Godstock will be held April 26-27, 2008 at Eagle Wings Retreat Center in Burnet, Texas. The gates open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26. The opening session of the event begins at 1:00 p.m. Please plan to have your parish arrive and set up in time to attend the opening session.
