Musical Acts appearing at Godstock:

Austin is the “Live Music Capital of the World,” so it should not be surprising that we have access to some great Catholic bands. This year’s line up at Godstock includes some returning bands and as well as some new bands. All of the bands will have merchandise available after their performance for anyone interested in purchasing it. Please support our local Catholic talent!

If you would like to know more about the bands, visit their websites. We hope to have some samples of their music up on the site soon.

The Plow is not just the name of the this hip hop group, but rather, the action the duo takes through music -- stopping for nothing to spread The Good News. A group that is known for putting scriptures on beats, The Plow is a dynamic translator of The Word of God to the youth of today.
The Plow’s unusual blend of real life hip hop lyrics, rock music, and even contemporary sound has put them in a ministry that has made them a favorite group for youth events, church festivals, roadside revivals and charitable events. The Plow has played at Godstock in Burnet, Tx four of the five years the event has been in effect, an honor the group takes great pride in. The Plow started September 11, 2002. Since then the group released 3 albums – Luke 9:62, Still Standing and most recently The Renewal which was released in August 2009. Ricky D. is a volunteer youth leader and Religious Education teacher at St. Paul’s Catholic Church while Adrian serves at his church playing trumpet in their praise and worship band. Through their hip hop music, The Plow strives to show how The Book of Psalms can play a major role in our daily lives and plays a major role in The Holy Mass. Most importantly to share the love of Jesus and the ultimate sacrifice he made for us all through their hip hop music. For 2010 The Plow only wants to rock the mic for Christ.
